Student of the Week

Hi! I'm the student of the week!  I was so happy when Mr. Wolfe called my name and I was selected as  Student of the Week! Here's what you get when you're student of the week.  You get a Head Girl, or Head Boy badge, but in this case, girl, a red spinning, yes, I said spinning, chair.  I also get to go to the front of the line and get to wherever we're going first.  Oh, it's so great!

Also, as Student of the Week, my teacher always hands out supplies and papers to me first.  Oh and by the way, my name is Paloma, and I've been Student of the Week for 6 days!  Yes, I said 6 full days!  Well, you're supposed to be student of the week for 5 days, but I've had 6 because we have half days this week, and I've been very good while being Student of the Week.  Ding! Ding! Ding!  Oh!  Gotta go, school's out, see you!

When I Went to the Pentagon!

When I went to the Pentagon I had to go through security. I had to get a badge to get into the building. The security was similar to airport security.

There are 5 floors above ground so it was very easy to get lost. When I got the right floor I saw all of my family members.  My Uncle Rob was the reason I was there because he was retiring from the US Air Force. When they started the ceremony they started off with the National Anthem. Then they went into thanking everyone who was there. Next they gave awards to Uncle Rob because he has been in the Air Force for 24 years.

The building  had a lot of historical pictures. The ceremony took place in an area with pictures of Medal of Honor winners.

In the middle the Pentagon there is a courtyard with a hot dog stand (my mom used to eat lunch there!)

The Air Force uniform includes ribbons and medals they have earned some of the ribbons are flags of places they have been.

It was fun to see and experience the Pentagon.

My name is Isaac A.  I am 9 years old.  I play for Nortac Soccer team.  My favorite color is blue.  My family is fostering kittens.  I love football.  My favorite subject in school is science because I love to leaern new things that I never knew before.  And this is how I feel about being student of the week.  Here it is:

I can take the lunch bin with a friend, if I want to do that.

I can also get my assignments first.

I get to go out to be excused to specialists first, and lunch first.

I get a special pencil that when you rub it, it turns different colors.

I get a peice of paper that has my name on it and Mr. Wolfe puts it up in the hallway so the whole third grade can see that I am the Student of the Week.

Thank you Mr. Wolfe for choosing me as Student of the Week.

My BLOG

When school started, I did not get Daily Oral Language (DOL), then I started to get  it, and now I've got it!  I did really well.

I got to be Student of the Week.  This is what I get to do.  I get a special red chair that can spin.  On Tuesday I was able to choose any team house that I wanted, I chose Hufflepuff.  I also get to go to the front of the line.  I can also choose to take the lunch bucket up each day if I want.  I got a cool pencil that changes colors, and when papers and other things are passed out, I get mine first!

Thank you!

MY TIME IN MEXICO - By Ben

Two weeks ago I arrived in Mexico. Here is a list of the coolest things I have done: 1) I made a bubble so bit it covered me. That was in a museum in Mexico City. 2) I learned how to kill cockroaches because our house was infested with them. 3) On my brother's birthday we smooshed his head in the cake and we also broke a piƱata with our bare hands. 4) I have a new school that is called Rogers Hall. It like it. It makes me think of Hogwarts from Harry Potter. 5) I ate over 20 new foods like chaya water, chilaquiles, and deadly spicy habanero.

Thank you for reading my blog.

Robby's Move to Georgia

Good Morning Class and Mr. Wolfe,
I wanted to write before I go catch the bus. Our day starts a lot earlier here. I have to get up at 5 am now. I leave to catch the bus at 6 in the morning. It takes about 20 mins to drive to the bus stop, and about an hour bus ride to get to school. If papa drives us, then it's about 30 mins to school. School starts at 8 am, with breakfast at 7:30. Papa is driving us to school today, but I still had to get up early, because I forgot to get an assignment done, and he is helping me. I making a timeline of my life for my Social Studies assignment. It starts with almost nothing, and at the end, it has a lot of stuff.

My teacher's name is Mrs Fausel, but it sounds like fossil. I really like her class. It's different, but we are still doing some of the same stuff that we did in your class.

My new school’s playground is different. The playground has more slides. We also have a big spiderweb thing to climb on.

What is the name of your school and the town you moved to? - The school I go to is called Taylor County Upper Elementary School. It's sometimes hard to remember all of that. The town we moved to is called Montezuma. It's only 4 1/2 square miles Papa says. It's really small. We only have 3 stoplights in the whole city.

How is the rest of your family liking Georgia? - Everyone is liking it. We are all still getting used to stuff. My grandpa Wayne's friend had a puppies in March, so next month, my grandpa is bringing us a new puppy. We are all really excited. I don't think our cat will be though.

It sounds like you have a lot of fun stuff is happening. What did everyone have to do for the Reader's Theater? Did they have to act out books or something? Is the "Night at the Wax Museum" like the movie where everything comes to life? I miss Lowell, but I'm liking my new school. Say "HI" to everyone in class for me. Papa says that I have to start getting ready for school now. I hope you all have a great day.
