Jacob & Erik’s News!

😎 Hello, 3rd graders!  This month's blog reporters are Erik and Jacob!

ASB SPEECHES
A 3rd grader from each class will be chosen to go to ASB meetings and share their ideas with the treasurer, secretary, vice president, and president. They have to say a speech in front their own class and their   own classmates must choose the one they think is the best candidate.

Animal Book Reports
This month we are doing animal book reports. We are going make stuffed animals. We are reading our animal books that we have selected for the book report. We are going to type or write a summary then paste to our stuffed animals.

REMINDER
Please remember to bring cider or juice by November 19th.

Postcards From Space
We are doing postcards from space along with that we are doing papier Mache planets. We get to pick one planet from the solar system like Neptune or Mars. For the papier Mache we blew up balloons covered newspaper with goo, and then we put it on, and we painted then popped them. Now we are living in a solar system.

 Read Aloud
For read aloud month is Ragweed which is about a mouse and his dangerous journey into the city. Our last book was Castle in the Attic it was about a knight that journeys with a squire to take back his castle.

Thank you for reading from Jacob and Erik. 🏒🏈😃😅💻🏁

Fall News!

🙃Hello 3rd graders! This is Reporter Adelaide and Reporter Lucia! We just wanted to inform you of what’s been going on in our classroom. 🐺

EVENTS
The Harvest Party was on Thursday, October 31st and it was a lot of fun! It took place at school at 2:40! We did bobbing for apples and mummifying a partner with toilet paper. We even tried to catch donuts that volunteers held!
The Apex Fun Run was awesome! You get pledges, and every dollar per lap you get a prize! Ironically, it also took place on Thursday.
Wow! Triple fun! Halloween was also on Thursday! Hope you had some fun!

everyday IN OUR Classroom
When we walk into the class, we sit down, and take out daily oral language. Then we go to specialist, which is usually music, P.E., or library. Then after lunch we do read aloud, which is when Mr. Wolfe reads a book to us. We can draw, work on unfinished assignments, or just listen.

PROJECTS
Our class does a lot of projects, like book reports, art, and... sometimes... SPECIAL TREATS!! Etc...

FRIDAY EVENTS
On Friday we take tests, like spelling and D.O.L. If we have all our work turned in, we get to have an auction, or choice.  If we don’t turn in our assignments, we read at our desks, or finish assignments.

Goodbye! We hope you liked our blog entry.

Sincerely, Adelaide and Lucia!

Welcome to Third Grade - 2019-2020!

Welcome New Lowell Third Graders!

You found it!  This is our class BLOG.  A BLOG is a web log (or journal). It is a collection of thoughts, discussions, and happenings.

Be sure you check with your parents, then with their permission, click on the "comment" section after this post.  Then introduce yourself to your new classmates & me.  This is your first assignment!

Some things you might want to mention are: your first name (only), some of your interests, and what you've been doing & reading this summer.

For example:

My name is Mr. Wolfe.  I really enjoy spending time with my family.  I like hiking, kayaking, family movie nights, and walking our dog (the photos above are of my family and a trip to Switzerland for a family reunion.  The other is of me running in a recent race).  I enjoy running and running races a lot.  This summer one of the books I enjoyed was The Land of Stories by Chris Colfer.  I enjoy books with a lot of suspense & adventure.   I also read Love Does by Bob Goff, and quite a few Runner's World magazines.

I look forward to reading your first BLOG comments & meeting you at Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 27th.   Our classroom will be open from 6:00-7:00pm. The Lowell Barbecue starts at 5:00pm.

Our first day of school is Thursday, September 5th!

Thanks for visiting our class BLOG!
Mr. Wolfe

P.S.  After you submit your post, don't worry that it doesn't show up right away.  I have an approval process so only posts that belong to our blog show up.
